Chef Alana Peckham of CRU Restaurant hosts this cooking demonstration on her specialty: appetizer-sized dishes that are big on flavour. Chef Peckham will demonstrate how to prepare 3 different recipes paired with wine from the Okanagan’s Quails’ Gate winery. Under Chef Peckham’s leadership, CRU has twice won Best Small Plates from Vancouver Magazine and in 2011 from Where Magazine. She is the only female chef to compete in Vancouver’s Gold Medal Plates in November 2011. Come and see how it’s done! Featured dishes include Truffled Mushroom Carnaroli Risotto; Rare Seared Local Albacore Tuna, Focaccia Bread Salad and a Smoked Paprika Vinaigrette; and Crisp Wonton Crackers with Edamame Hummus and Oven Dried Cherry Tomatoes.
