Cornucopia has been on a voluntary pause of programming in support of Public Health. Today during Dr. Bonnie Henry’s press conference, she extended her travel advisory and she also issued an order that shuts down events until at least December 7th. This order applies to Cornucopia. The remaining seminars and dinners planned at the Whistler Conference Centre are therefore cancelled and full refunds will be issued automatically in the next week. If you booked a restaurant experience through the Cornucopia website, they are continuing unless you are contacted. If you choose not to attend because of Dr. Henry’s advisories, please email email@example.com and we will work with the restaurant to issue a refund.
Cornucopia 2020 is now officially at its end. The Cornucopia team considered trying to postpone some of the events until December but after listening to Dr. Henry today it seems clear the right thing to do is look to next year. While it is disappointing that we were only able to have two event days, there is also understanding and support of our public health officials as they try to guide us through these difficult times.
We’d like to thank all the wineries, breweries, distilleries, presenters, chefs, restaurants, hotels and Cornucopia attendees (and attempted attendees!) who have been on this journey with us. Your support, patience and kindness has been greatly appreciated.
Cornucopia turns twenty-five in 2021 and it was always our intention to have events throughout the year – so stay tuned! You may not have to wait until next fall to get a taste of Whistlers Food and Beverage Festival.
