Drink Seminar: Cabernet Franc: Best Supporting Player to Leading Role
Presenter: Tyler Dawson.
Cabernet Franc is best known for its role in much-celebrated Bordeaux blends, but like any good character actor, it can carry a scene alone when it's given the chance. Although it often languishes in the shadow of popular rival Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc is a more reliable producer in cool climates, and winemakers are warming up to its potential as a stand-alone varietal (check out the Loire Valley's Chinon offerings). Tyler Dawson leads this hour-long stand-up seminar on Cabernet Franc, which will include a tasting of great examples of the wine from France, Argentina, and other global players, as well as wineries right here in BC.
